Are You Insured To Drive In Severe Weather?
We've had a couple of calls this morning asking if they're insured to drive in this weather??
Despite social media and newspaper reports suggesting that motor insurance will be invalid if people drive during a red weather warning, these reports are completely untrue!!
Motor insurance will cover you fully in the normal way, providing you are driving within the law.
A spokesman for The Association of British Insurers added: "We would urge all drivers to pay close attention to advice from local authorities and the emergency services in areas affected by snow – particularly where there is a red warning.
No snow here in Bude just yet, but if you have to drive somewhere please drive safely!!! ❄️☃️🚙
